Digital marketing · Angamaly & Kalady

A digital marketing agency for Angamaly and Kalady, where airport searches meet town ones

Angamaly sells to two crowds at once: people passing through to or from Cochin airport, and the families of Angamaly, Kalady and the surrounding villages who shop, study and hold weddings here. We run Meta ads, Google Ads, SEO and websites that treat those as separate audiences, and route every enquiry to WhatsApp. We are based in Kothamangalam, about 32 km away, and come to you for the first meeting.

Why now

Why Angamaly businesses are rethinking how customers find them

Angamaly is a junction town in the literal sense. National Highway 544 runs through it, the MC Road from Thiruvananthapuram ends here, and Cochin International Airport is 7 km away at Nedumbassery. A hotel, taxi stand or restaurant in the town can win customers who never meant to stop in Angamaly at all, provided it shows up on their phone at the moment they need it.

That moment is crowded. Booking sites, ride apps and Kochi hotel groups all bid for the same searches around the airport, and the platforms take a commission on every booking they pass along. Owners who talk to us want more of their bookings direct, through their own website and their own WhatsApp number, where the guest’s details stay with the business rather than with a platform.

The other half of the market is local and slower. Families from Kalady, Karukutty and Manjapra come into Angamaly for weddings, schooling, Little Flower Hospital and Saturday shopping; pilgrims and students come to Kalady for Adi Shankara’s birthplace and the Sanskrit university. These customers search in Malayalam as often as in English, compare on WhatsApp, and tend to choose the business that answers first.

What we run

Four services we run for Angamaly and Kalady businesses

Each has a detailed page written by the same Kothamangalam team. For most businesses here the audit picks two, and decides which of the two audiences each one should serve.

Meta ads aimed at people who live here

Meta works best on the local half of the market: a new collection, an admission season, a wedding-hall open day. We target a radius around Angamaly and Kalady with Malayalam and English creative and a WhatsApp button, and judge each campaign by the chats it starts rather than by views.

  • Radius campaigns around Angamaly, Kalady and Karukutty
  • Click-to-WhatsApp ads with an automatic reply in Malayalam or English
  • Wedding-season campaigns for halls, caterers and textile shops

Search · Maps · calls

Google Ads for the airport corridor

Searches for hotels, taxis or cargo near the airport cost more because booking sites and city chains bid on them too. We keep campaigns narrow: exact terms, tight location settings around Nedumbassery and Angamaly, schedules that cover late-night arrivals, and Google forwarding numbers so every call is counted against the spend.

  • Separate campaigns for travellers and for local customers
  • Ad schedules matched to early flights and late arrivals
  • Calls counted through Google forwarding numbers

Business Profile · organic

SEO and Maps for two towns

A business with branches in Angamaly and Kalady needs two genuine profiles and two pages, never one listing pretending to cover both. We fix categories, hours and the pin, ask for a review after every stay or sale, and write pages that answer what a traveller asks: minutes to the terminal, pickup, late check-in.

  • One profile per real address, with the right primary category
  • Review requests after every stay, sale or visit, never paid for
  • Pages that give the distance to the airport and the railway station
SEO and Google Maps, in detail →

Direct bookings · fast pages

Websites that take the booking themselves

For hotels and taxi operators, a fast site with rooms or fares, a booking form and a WhatsApp button lets guests book without a commission in the middle. For shops, halls and institutions, static pages in English and Malayalam that open in a second on a phone.

  • Booking and enquiry forms tracked in GA4
  • English and Malayalam versions on separate URLs
  • Static HTML that stays quick without plugins

The local market

Angamaly and Kalady: a junction, a pilgrim town and an airport

Angamaly municipality counted 33,465 people in 2011 on about 20 square kilometres, and it sits inside the Kochi metropolitan area, around 30 km north of the city centre. Its railway station is the fifth busiest in Greater Kochi by passengers and revenue, and it is also the closest station to the airport. People arrive here, change here and leave from here.

Nedumbassery, where the airport stands, was paddy land before the runway. A dedicated approach road now links NH 544 to the terminal, and new hotels and businesses have come up along it. Lodges, restaurants, taxi operators and cargo agents shipping to the Gulf compete for the same travellers; for cargo firms, our cargo and logistics page covers the specifics.

Kalady, across the Periyar, is a different market. It is the birthplace of Adi Shankara, which brings pilgrims through the year, and home to Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, founded in 1993. Lodges, eateries, shops and transport there sell to visitors arriving for the first time, who search by the town’s name and need directions more than persuasion.

The town’s own economy is older than the airport. Little Flower Hospital has run here since 1936, Transformers and Electricals Kerala is based in the area, and the Adlux convention centre at Karukutty sits on the highway at the Thrissur district line, drawing exhibition and wedding crowds. Customers also come down NH 544 from Chalakudy and the Thrissur side, so a radius drawn only around Angamaly misses some of them.

Draw the radius north as well as south: Karukutty and the Chalakudy road matter here as much as Athani and Nedumbassery. Your profile insights confirm the real split at the audit.

The first 90 days

The first 90 days for an Angamaly or Kalady business

Week 1

Audit where you trade

We come to your hotel, shop or office and go through the Business Profile, website, ad accounts and the booking or enquiry flow. We search for your trade from the airport, from Kalady and from the Chalakudy side, and note who outranks you and why. The written findings are yours to keep.

Weeks 2–4

Split the two audiences

From here on, travellers and residents get separate pages, separate campaigns and separate reply scripts on WhatsApp. Profile details, pins and categories are fixed, GA4 and call tracking go in, and night-time enquiries get an automatic first answer instead of silence.

Weeks 5–8

One campaign per audience

Usually a narrow Search campaign for the traveller side and a radius Meta campaign for the local side, each on a small daily budget charged to your card. Direct-booking or enquiry pages go live at the same time, so paid clicks land somewhere that can take the booking.

Weeks 9–12

Cut, keep, extend

A month of tracked enquiries shows which searches and areas pay. We cut what does not, add pages for the questions guests and customers keep asking, and agree the next quarter at a sit-down in Angamaly or Kalady.

Working with us

What working with our Kothamangalam team looks like

We come to you

The audit and any on-site review happen at your premises in Angamaly, Kalady or near the airport, Monday to Saturday. In between, work runs on WhatsApp and a monthly call. Our office in Nellikuzhi is about 32 km away if you would rather sit down with us there.

Your accounts, your data

Ad accounts, the Business Profile, the domain, the booking site and the guest data all sit in your name and on your card. We work as added managers. Leave whenever you like and you keep the history, the reviews and the guest list we helped you build.

Hours and languages

Office hours are Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, and Sunday messages wait until Monday morning. For hotels that take bookings at night, the WhatsApp assistant answers in English or Malayalam around the clock and passes anything it cannot settle to your staff.

What we will not do

We will not buy reviews, promise a ranking or mark up ad spend. We will not list a business at the airport, the railway station or in Kalady unless you actually trade there, and we will not copy a competitor’s photos or wording to save time.

Questions

What Angamaly and Kalady business owners ask us

Do you visit businesses in Angamaly and Kalady?
Yes. Our office is in Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam, about 32 km away by road, and we come to your premises for the first meeting and the audit, Monday to Saturday. Ongoing work then runs mostly on WhatsApp and a monthly review, with a visit whenever something on site needs to change.
Our hotel is near the airport. Can we get bookings without the big booking sites?
Some, though not all. Booking sites will keep sending guests, and dropping them overnight is rarely wise. What we build is a direct route alongside them: a fast site with rooms and rates, a Business Profile with a booking link, Search ads on narrow terms and a WhatsApp assistant for late arrivals. We then report how many bookings came direct each month.
Why do Google Ads clicks around the airport cost so much?
Because many advertisers want the same searcher: hotels, taxi firms, booking sites and Kochi chains all bid on terms that mention the airport, and the price per click is set by that auction. We keep costs in check with exact terms, tight locations, schedules around flight times and negative keywords, and judge the campaign by calls and bookings, not clicks.
We are in Kalady, not Angamaly. Should we target both?
Target where your customers are, and list only where you trade. A Kalady business should have its profile and pages in Kalady, then use ads to reach Angamaly and the airport if those people buy from you. Pilgrims and university visitors usually search for Kalady by name, which works in your favour.
How is your fee worked out if there is no price list?
From the audit. We look at how many channels you need, how many pages and profiles, and how much reporting, then write a scope with a figure for our fee. Ad spend stays separate on your own Google or Meta account with no margin added. There is no lock-in, so you can stop at the end of any month.
Can you help a cargo agent in Angamaly reach families sending parcels to the Gulf?
Yes. Families sending door-to-door cargo usually search close to home, then ask on WhatsApp what can be sent, the cut-off day and the rate per kilo. We build a page that answers those questions, a Business Profile that shows your pickup area, and Malayalam Meta ads for the localities you collect from.
