Data Analytics Course in Kerala — What It Should Actually Teach

By Nadha Fathima, AI & Automation Engineer · Last updated: 28 September 2026

Analytics is one of the few roles where the interview is decided before you walk in: someone opens your dashboard, reads your notebook, and forms a view. This page covers what a data analytics course in Kerala needs to cover to survive that, what ours costs, and how the two months are actually spent.

What the job actually asks of you

A data analyst spends far less time building models than most course brochures imply. The work is closer to this: someone asks a question that is phrased badly, you work out what they actually meant, you find the data, you discover the data is messy, you clean it, and then you produce something a non-technical person can act on in under a minute. The technical part is real, but it sits inside a job that is mostly about turning vague questions into defensible answers.

That shapes what a course needs to cover. Python and SQL are the floor, not the ceiling. Power BI and Looker Studio matter because that is how the answer gets delivered. And the part most syllabi skip entirely — how to structure a question, how to sanity-check a number before you publish it, how to say "this data cannot answer that" — is the part that separates an analyst from someone who can run a query.

We teach it in that order deliberately. Week one is not a lecture on the history of data science; it is Python doing something small and useful to a real dataset.

Syllabus

What the two months cover

Sequenced so that each block produces something you can show, rather than saving all the output for a final project.

🐍
Python and Pandas from the basics
No prior programming assumed. Variables and control flow, then straight into Pandas — loading, filtering, grouping, joining and reshaping real datasets. AI coding assistants are used from the start, because that is how the work is now done, and because they let a beginner move faster without skipping comprehension.
🗄️
SQL, properly
SELECT, WHERE, GROUP BY, the four JOIN types, subqueries and window functions, against a real e-commerce database rather than a toy table. SQL is the single most-tested skill in analyst interviews in Kerala, so this block includes a test-preparation pack and timed practice.
🧹
Cleaning and exploratory analysis
Missing values, duplicates, inconsistent categories, dates that arrive in four formats. This is the block that surprises people — it is where most analyst time genuinely goes, and handling it well is what makes the rest of the pipeline trustworthy.
📊
Power BI, Looker Studio and Tableau Public
Building dashboards someone will actually open twice. Data modelling and relationships, DAX measures, filters that do not confuse the reader, and the design discipline of deciding what to leave out. You publish at least one dashboard on real data.
📈
Statistics you will actually use
Distributions, correlation, significance, and the reasoning to know when a difference is noise. Deliberately practical: enough to stop you publishing a conclusion the data does not support, without a semester of theory you will not apply.
🤖
Machine learning basics and AI-assisted analysis
Scikit-learn for regression and classification — enough to understand what a model does and where it fails, not enough to call yourself an ML engineer. Plus using AI tools for SQL generation, code review and first-pass interpretation, which is how analysts now work day to day.

If model-building rather than reporting is what draws you, the Machine Learning & Deep Learning track goes considerably deeper over 14 weeks — and the comparison is worth reading before you choose, in ML vs data analytics.

Choosing a course

Python, SQL, Power BI or AI tools — what a 2026 course must cover

Most people comparing analytics courses in Kerala are really asking which tools matter. The honest answer is that each one does a different job, and a course that drops any of them leaves a gap an interviewer will find.

🐍
Python — weeks 1–2
The tool for cleaning and reshaping data that arrives messy, and for any analysis a spreadsheet cannot hold. You need Pandas fluency, not software engineering. If a course treats Python as optional, it is really a dashboard course.
🗄️
SQL — week 3
How you get data out of the systems where businesses actually keep it. It is the skill most often tested in a timed interview round, which is why the week is dense and repeated in practice sets afterwards.
📊
Power BI and Looker Studio — weeks 4–5
How the answer reaches the person who has to act on it. Power BI is what most corporate job postings name; Looker Studio is what marketing and smaller teams use with GA4. Learning both takes little extra time once the modelling ideas are clear.
🤖
AI tools and ML basics — weeks 6–7
ChatGPT and Cursor to draft SQL and Python, scikit-learn to see what a simple model does, and an automated weekly report built in n8n. AI speeds up the analyst; it does not replace the judgment about whether a number is right.
🎯
Capstone — week 8
One project that uses all of the above on a real Kerala business dataset, presented the way you would present it to a manager. This is the piece of work you will talk about in interviews.

A useful test for any course, ours included: ask to see a past student's capstone and the SQL questions from their mock interview. If a course cannot show you either, its syllabus page is doing the work its teaching should. If you want the automation side on its own, the 4-week AI Agents with n8n course covers it in depth.

What you leave with

The portfolio is the qualification

Analytics hiring is unusually evidence-driven. These are the artefacts the course is built to produce.

📓
Public Kaggle notebooks
Notebooks written to be read, not just run — a stated question, visible cleaning decisions, and a conclusion in plain language. A public notebook is a verifiable work sample, which is worth more in an interview than a certificate asserting you attended.
📊
A published Power BI dashboard
Built on a real dataset, published to Power BI Service, with a written note on what decision it supports. Interviewers open it. That is the whole point of building it.
🐙
A GitHub repository that reads well
Structured project folders and a README that explains the problem before the code. We review the repository the way a hiring manager skims it — in ninety seconds, looking for a reason to keep reading.
🎤
A mock technical interview
A timed SQL round and a walkthrough of one of your own projects, with feedback on the explanation as much as the answer. Most candidates lose analyst interviews on the walkthrough, not the query.
The internship

Why this internship is external, and what that means

Every other track at the academy includes an in-house internship at Beeps Digital, the agency that shares our building. This one does not, and the reason is worth stating plainly: Beeps Digital is a marketing agency. We can give you live campaign data, but we cannot give you the kind of large, messy, multi-table business data that analytics work actually involves. Pretending otherwise would produce four weeks of invented exercises.

Instead, the 4-week internship for this track is arranged externally, with partner companies in the Infopark and Technopark ecosystem, where the data environment is real. It is included in the course fee and carries no separate salary. It concludes with a completion certificate and a letter of recommendation.

The honest caveat: the external arrangement depends on partner capacity in a given month, so the start date can move by a few weeks. We would rather tell you that now than have you discover it in month three.

Across Kerala

Where analyst work is in Kerala

Analyst roles in Kerala are not confined to one city. The state's three government IT parks — Technopark in Thiruvananthapuram, Infopark in Kochi and Cyberpark in Kozhikode — house most of the IT services and product companies that advertise roles with "data analyst" or "business analyst" in the title. Around them sits a second, less visible market: banks and gold-loan finance companies headquartered in the state, hospital groups, retail chains and a large tourism trade, all of which run on reports that someone has to build and keep honest.

For a learner, that spread matters more than any single employer. The skills do not change between Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode — SQL, a clean Python workflow, a dashboard that answers one question — so the course is taught the same way everywhere, and most learners outside Ernakulam district join the live online batch. The internship is arranged with partner companies in the Infopark and Technopark ecosystem; tell us where you are based when you enquire and we will be straightforward about what that means for you.

Many Kerala analysts also build a career in the Gulf. If that is your plan, the online batch timing works from the UAE as well — see online data analytics courses for UAE professionals.

Logistics

How learners across Kerala attend

The campus is in Kothamangalam. Most of Kerala is not, so here is how the two modes actually work.

💻
Live online — ₹19,500
Trainer-led sessions, not recordings, though recordings follow within 24 hours if you miss one. Same syllabus, same projects, same internship arrangement. Analytics suits online delivery better than most subjects, because everyone is looking at the same screen anyway.
🏫
Offline at Kothamangalam — ₹19,500
In-person sessions at the Nellikuzhi campus, within easy reach of Muvattupuzha, Perumbavoor, Thodupuzha and Adimali. Worth it if you learn better with someone able to look over your shoulder when a join silently returns the wrong row count.
🗓️
Weekend batches
Saturday sessions at the campus for people already working. The two months run longer in elapsed time, but the contact hours and the syllabus are identical. Most working professionals choose this or the online batch.
💳
Fees and instalments
₹19,500 for every mode, covering the full syllabus, the internship arrangement and all career support. Installment options are available — message us and we will set out a schedule that fits.

Working in Kochi or Kakkanad? The data analytics course in Kochi page covers the Infopark market and the evening batch in detail. Learners in other towns may find the local pages more useful for travel and batch detail — Kothamangalam, Muvattupuzha, Thodupuzha and Adimali.

Fit check

Who this course suits — and who it does not

Worth being honest about, because analytics attracts a lot of people who would be happier elsewhere.

🎓
Commerce and science graduates
The most common starting point, and a good one. If you were comfortable with statistics or accounts at degree level, the analytical reasoning transfers directly and the programming is learnable from zero in the first few weeks.
💻
Engineering graduates moving sideways
Your programming background removes the steepest part of the curve. Many engineering graduates use analytics as the entry point into data work, then move deeper later — which is a sound sequence rather than a compromise.
💼
Working professionals who own reports
If part of your job already involves pulling numbers into a spreadsheet for someone else to read, this course mainly replaces a slow manual process with a fast repeatable one. The weekend and online batches exist for exactly this group.
🚫
Who should look elsewhere
If you want to build and train models rather than analyse and communicate, this is the wrong track — take Machine Learning & Deep Learning instead. And if you dislike detail work, be warned that a large share of the job is careful, unglamorous cleaning.
Frequently Asked Questions

Data Analytics Course in Kerala — FAQs

Is there a data analytics course in Kerala?
Beeps Academy runs a 2-month Data Analytics & Visualization with AI course, taught offline at the Kothamangalam campus in Ernakulam district or in a live online batch open to learners anywhere in Kerala. The fee is ₹19,500 for every mode, and both include a 4-week external internship.
Do I need programming experience to join?
No. Week one starts from Python basics and assumes no prior programming. AI coding assistants are used throughout, which lets beginners move faster without skipping understanding. What does help is comfort with numbers and a willingness to work carefully through messy data.
What is the fee for the data analytics course?
₹19,500 for every mode, offline or online. Both cover the complete 2-month syllabus, the 4-week external internship arrangement, and career support including a portfolio review and a mock technical interview. Installment options are available.
Which tools does the course teach?
Python with Pandas, SQL, Power BI, Looker Studio and Tableau Public, plus scikit-learn for machine learning basics and AI tools for SQL generation and analysis support. Portfolio work is published on Kaggle and GitHub, and dashboards are published to Power BI Service.
Why is the internship external rather than in-house?
Data analytics needs a real company data environment. Beeps Digital is a marketing agency, so it cannot provide meaningful large-scale data work internally. The 4-week internship is instead arranged with partner companies in the Infopark and Technopark ecosystem. Start dates can shift by a few weeks depending on partner capacity.
How is this different from the machine learning course?
Data analytics is about answering business questions and communicating the answer — Python, SQL, dashboards, and enough statistics to be trustworthy. Machine Learning & Deep Learning is a 14-week track about building and training models with TensorFlow and PyTorch, and it expects prior programming comfort. Analytics is the more common entry point.
Should I learn Python or Power BI first?
Python first. Power BI is quicker to pick up once you understand how data is cleaned and joined, and that understanding comes from working with Python and SQL. The course follows that order: Python in weeks 1 and 2, SQL in week 3, then Power BI and Looker Studio in weeks 4 and 5.
Can AI tools replace learning SQL?
No. ChatGPT and similar tools can draft a query, but you still have to read it, spot when it joins the wrong tables, and check the result against the business question. Interviews test that judgment directly, usually in a timed SQL round, so the course teaches SQL properly and then shows you how to use AI to go faster.
