What does Angamaly actually run on?
Start with the map. Angamaly is where the MC Road ends and meets National Highway 544. Cochin International Airport is a few kilometres south, at Nedumbassery, and it is a big neighbour: CIAL reports that it handled more than one crore passengers in 2023-24, about 63.5% of all air passengers in Kerala that year. Hotels, taxi operators, travel agents, restaurants and cargo firms along the corridor all earn from people who are only passing through.
The second engine is industry. The Ministry of MSME's industrial profile of Ernakulam district lists two state industrial areas at Angamaly, with every plot allotted and more than a hundred units in production between them. The same report records a rice-mill cluster of about 90 working units at Kalady and a plywood cluster at Perumbavoor. Both towns are on the road to our campus. Many of these firms sell to buyers far from Angamaly: distributors, contractors and retailers across Kerala.
The third is faith and learning. Ernakulam district's guide to places of interest describes Kalady as the birthplace of Adi Shankaracharya and Malayattoor as a place of pilgrimage linked to St. Thomas the Apostle. Kalady is also home to the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit and the Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering and Technology, and FISAT is at Mookkannoor. Along with Little Flower Hospital in Angamaly town, these institutions turn out a steady flow of graduates. They also need to reach students, patients and visitors online.

How do you get from Angamaly to the campus?
The campus is near the Indira Gandhi Institute of Dental Sciences (IGIDS) at Nellikuzhi, on the Perumbavoor side of Kothamangalam. From Angamaly, the usual road runs through Kalady and Perumbavoor and then on towards Kothamangalam. It is about 35 km.
Buses on the Angamaly–Kothamangalam route run through Kalady and Perumbavoor and stop at Nellikuzhi, so there is no change on the way. Most are private buses; KSRTC also runs on this road. Timings change, so check at the stand, or ask us on WhatsApp and we'll help you plan the trip.
It depends mostly on traffic through Kalady and Perumbavoor towns. There is street parking near the campus.

Why travel to Kothamangalam when Kochi is just as close?
It's a fair question. Angamaly sits roughly between Kochi and Kothamangalam, and Kochi has plenty of institutes. So compare like with like.
